Adimade

Want to cut your creative teeth in advertising? If you haven't heard about Adimade then check it out. It's a user generated advertising site that sources projects by community groups, businesses, and the like who have run aground with ideas for commercials.

Each project offers up a monetary prize for the most votes by Internet viewers and because the adverts are hosted on Youtube, the exposure is certain, so the votes are easily sourced but ...

Beware however the usual crappy comments show up on the Adimade site that appear on your Youtube videos, comments such as "Wow that was fucking retarted my little sis draws better than that" and "This video stinks!!!!!!!!!!!!". No one escapes the brevity of intelligence wafting around Youtube, even I got a nasty remark from Evan Clarry who is supposedly a reputable filmmaker, for no apparent reason, somehow finding the time to soil my comment box on one of my videos with a comment that made little sense and lacked any literary merit.

Let's not revisit it however as many Youtube users who feel the need to make senseless insults on stranger's films seem to be the same grotty calculus that clogged up the playgrounds of primary school, only relieved by the fun poked at them from inside a Mad Magazine without their knowledge.

I won't pounce on Evan though, he might have been trying to be matey and I've taken the wrong end of the stick.

Post Note:

You will notice that Adimade have left a comment stating ...

"You will be happy to know that all projects from here on in will be "login to comment" so hopefully we can (to some extent) avoid the cowardly comments that seem to plague the online video world."

So this is a good thing as we all know how grubby some reactions to our efforts can be with the anonymous "Crevice Butt" Avatar styled comment by night happening all over sites like Youtube and beyond.

You will be happy to know that all projects from here on in will be "login to comment" so hopefully we can (to some extent) avoid the cowardly comments that seem to plague the online video world.
