International Film Festival Mannheim-Heidelberg

The International Film Festival Mannheim-Heidelberg in Germany is currently accepting submissions. There is no fee for entering your film and that's the way we love it.

Deadline is July 25th so put your DVD on fast-burn - should take about eight hours instead of sixteen on your domestic burner.

The only major condition is that you are a new-comer, or relatively new filmmaker, that doesn't mean still a toddler, it means your work hasn't been plastered over every Bus Stop shelter in the country.

You can go to the Mannheim-Heidelberg website here for the submission details and form.

Mannheim-Heidelberg Film Festival say that they "discover young talents", "new film directors" and "directors who at best made themselves a name in their own country but who are internationally unknown". They also have a "Radical and brave selection" which is to encourage newcomer arthouse filmmakers to submit work. So don't go over-board on your bio and announce your world acclaim (i.e. Your link on IMDB) as a newcomer then you may not be.

If you are a toddler, you shouldn't be reading this Blog, for toddler appropriate movies please go here.
