DepicT! ‘09

DepicT! ‘09 is now open for submissions. Not in a BDSM way but in the sense of 90 seconds worth of narrative. There are some wizard prizes to be claimed, including £2000 worth of pocket money for best film. The deadline for this year is Monday 7th of September.

If you would like a sense of what filmmaker's works have been selected in the past for DepicT!, the shortlist resides here, and you can watch the films Online.

So you've got ninety-seconds to capture the moment. Here are some ninety-second processes, some may be right and some may be wrong, but with a quick search I found that it takes 90 seconds for our moon to occult Jupiter, it takes 90 seconds for a thought to get to the logical part of your brain, it takes 90 seconds to transmit a 20mb logfile, on average it takes 90 seconds to check-in an economy class passenger, it takes 90 seconds for someone to formulate an opinion about another person based on first impressions, it takes 90 seconds to walk from one end to the other of Schawk Canada's new 60000-square-foot facility in Mississauga, it takes 90 seconds after starting exercise for the aerobic system to get going ... so you see much can happen in 90 seconds.

This post was written in 90 seconds.
