UNIVERSITY OF SYDNEY'S SLEEK GEEKS SCIENCE EUREKA PRIZE 2011

Here's something a little different ... University of Sydney's 'Sleek Geeks Science Eureka Prize'. The objective is to explain a scientific theory or concept in 1-3 minutes. Entries will open in Feb 2011 (4/02/2011) and close May 2011 (6/05/2011). Now this competition is open to Secondary School and Primary School budding scientific filmmakers. First prize is $4000.00, so chances are you'll be the richest kid on the block.

Now I realise that the demographic for this competition veers well clear of the snuffboxfilms readership, however, if you have any siblings who have until now spent all their time admiring your own production efforts, you may wish to encourage them to have a crack at this. For further information, you'll need to send an email which can be found at the bottom of the page at the link below.

Details can be found on the University website, this page.

I don't know what the exact criteria is, but I imagine, this is available to Australian residents only, not sure either if it covers all states, but anyway, thought to post it.
